Floralia - Roman spring festival in Gorsium

The biggest archaeological park of the country presents one of the most popular festivals of the Roman period, the Floralia. During the event, visitors will be able to learn about the ancient world with the help of presentations reviving the Roman lifestyle and handicrafts. Roman soldiers, gladiators will display their art of war and scenes from their daily life.
Visitors will also have the chance to make their own jewellery, sandals, pottery, coins, and clothes. Ceaser and his legionary parades, craftsmen’s presentations, and gladiator fights are all part of this weekend’s programme. The open-air stage will present some classic plays in Hungarian. We offer children a wide array of activities: arts and crafts workshops and Roman children's games as well as games of skill.
