Velence Hills

Velence Hills

The 300-million-year-old Velence Hills are the only range with a granite base so from a geological point of view it is the oldest region of the country. In the network of energy-lines mystical rocking stones, quartzite rocks, rock seas and granite cones guard the route of the hikers.

The springs and the curiously shaped volcanic rocks are connected through 53 kilometres of hiking trails. It is worth visiting the elevation origin mark in Nadap and the arboretum in Pákozd.
