Our ancestors received their noble rank in the heroic fight against the Ottomans which is symbolised in the coat of arms of the family. Although they did not cultivate vine they surely did not scorn its fermented juice! Consuming wine was part of their sound philosophy.
After more than 20 years of experience and practice in large-scale industrial wine-making in our hobby garden (half-acre) the two of us, and later with our growing boys, were watching as everything grew and we carried out the relevant tasks with great care and love.
