Sárpentele Grove

Sárpentele Grove

The core of this leisure forest was the 80-acre Sárpentele woods that used to be the estate of count Viktor Széchenyi. This was where the famous hunter, writer and scientist, Zsigmond Széchenyi spent his childhood and fell in love with nature.

It can be reached by bus or car from Székesfehérvár but also on foot. From the carpark a pleasant footpath leads us around. It is suitable for walking even in rainy weather as it is a quickly-drying, sandy area. North of the paved road we find a rain-hut, bonfire-making facilities, information and educational boards, toilets and rubbish bins and also playground for ball-games. There are no facilities for drinking and eating in the leisure park.

In the southern part of the carpark next to the paved road you will find a large General information board. The forest exercise trail starts from here stretching for 1600 metres with 20 stations.
