Székesfehérvár Diocese Museum

The building was in the hand of the Franciscan friars. The museum's exhibitions are  interactive and modern. Its most precious piece is the herm-  the head relic of St. Stephen in an ornamental silver relic case. Maria Theresa had it made . Besides it royal and sacral treasures, such as the stones of the Virgin Mary Church of Provost can be seen in the museum.

The first diocese museum in the country opened in 1938. The permanent exhibition of the museum shows the liturgical art collection, sacral relics, filigrees,ecclesiastical  textiles, baroque paintings, statues. Among the special relics the visitors can discover the famous Pauer cross, which is the most precious. On its base the mosaics of the basilica can be seen.
